What I am GIVING UP in 2015
In 2015 I will be giving up........... RED MEAT. I have actually been trying, and doing really well eating raw. There are several things that I have a hard time giving up. Two in particular, cheese and eggs. I love them, I love them very much. I will be working on trying to loose my love for them this year, but one thing for certain, is I will not be consuming red meats. Even chicken and turkey. That stemed from me not knowing what i was eating, the quality of meat, and or what the heck is it in. I get sick even thinking about what I am possibly eating when consuming meats. It has been so strong, that I have honestly lost the desire for them. I have just recently watched a video that FullyRawKristina posted, on her experience in having to kill her own meat, if she wanted to consume them. I have never been in a situation, where I was the one to have to kill my own food, and when I think about it, which I have never done before, it makes me sick! So, watching that video feed my thoughts against meat even further. I am so excited to be giving up something, that has no benefit to my body, whatsoever. You don't need to consume meat to sustain life. If you eat the foods that nature gives us, that is all you need. What are you giving up? What are your goals for 2015? and why? Have you given up meat and what was your reason? I would love to hear them! Happy New Year lovelies!!

Where has the juice been???
I have been seriously wondering why I have not EVER owned a juicer until now. Santa was so nice to bring me one this year. I have not only never owned a juicer, I have never really wanted one, until recently. Needless to say, I have been missing out. I am absolutely in love with my machine and the juices are simply amazing! Below are just a few of the juices I have consumed the past few days. They're delicious of course, and eye candy as well.
My First Green Juice
(This is the name, because it is literally my first. I know, shame on me!)
- 2 organic apples
- 2 oranges
- 3 handfuls of spinach
This smoothie has a whole pomegranate in it. Every time I eat those little gems sent from heaven, I always say to myself, man this would be some good juice. I was right! In this is the Pom, blackberries, and cherries. Aaammmaaazzzinngg combo! You have to try it!
The overall big picture is well, heaven poured over ice!!
NOTE: You should never only consume the juices from your fruit and vegetables all the time, because you are missing out on all the fiber. That is a very important part of your fruits and vegetables, that needs to be consumed. I actually always save and freeze my pulp and I add it to my smoothies, you can't taste it and you have added fiber. It's a win win. You could also just keep some of the pulp by adding a little bit of juice and a little bit of pulp to your blender and then adding all the juice back together, to keep some fiber. Do you have a juicing technique?? Comment and tell me all about it.
